The NISM-Series-X-A: Investment Adviser (Level 1) Certification Examination is required for all connected people registered as investment advisors and representatives of investment advisers under the SEBI (Investment advisors) Regulations, 2013.

The NISM Investment Advisor Level 1 Exams are given online at several NISM locations, and all questions are of the’multiple choice’ variety. The exam lasts 180 minutes, and the candidate must answer 90 multiple-choice questions and 9 case study-based questions for a total of 150 points. 60% is considered passing.

How to prepare for Investment Adviser Exam ?

This exam is required for persons wishing to register as Investment Advisers as well as those working for investment advisers.
The level 1 test is NISM-Series-X-A: Investment Adviser (Level 1) Certification test, and NISM will also launch the level 2 Investment Adviser Certification Examination.

To become a Registered Investment Adviser, a person must pass both levels (NISM IACE (Level 1) & IACE (Level 2)).
This exam will include questions about the stock market, the debt market, the derivatives market, mutual funds, insurance, taxes, retirement, estate planning, and financial planning. To pass this exam, the candidate must be well-versed in the entire financial sector.

So, before taking the IACE test, we recommend that you first obtain other NISM certifications such as Currency, Equity Derivatives, Mutual Funds, and so on.

The exam should be completed in three hours. The passing score for the examination is 60%, or 90 points out of a possible 150. Negative marking of 25% of the marks assigned to a question is permitted.

NISM IACE exam Fees (Rs.) 1500/- A PAN card is required to acquire the certificate for all NISM tests.
The candidate will not receive a tangible copy of the certificate. NISM will only provide soft copies of the certificates. We need to download it and print it.
